Creekside Estate Winery

Creekside has been doing its premium thing on the Niagara Peninsula since 1998, when owner Laura McCain jumped at the opportunity to pursue a growing passion for wine, purchasing a 15-acre vineyard and winery on Fourth Avenue near Jordan, ON. Early on, the darlings of the Creekside portfolio were, like the people who created them, a little outside of the mainstream fold. Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, despite being viticulturally off-kilter for the region at that time, showed particular promise and the altogether rosy outlook inspired further investment in the winery’s facilities.Creekside’s portfolio is the story of a winery that refuses to be pigeon-holed. Across varietals, styles, and vintages, Creekside wines continue to garner critical acclaim and accolades from peers and industry professionals alike. As a testament to the consistency of the winemaking team and the strength of the bottled product, several nominations for Canadian Winery of the Year have been awarded by various authorities at home and abroad. In a brief 10 years, Creekside Estate Winery has assembled a formidable mix of winemaking know-how and sales and marketing savvy.

Stoney Ridge Estate Winery

Located at the base of the Niagara Escarpment in the heart of Ontario’s wine country, Stoney Ridge Estate Winery is a leading producer of exceptional VQA wines and VQA Icewines.

Stratus Vineyards

The Stratus winery, like our signature assemblage wines, is a composition – a whole greater than the sum of its parts. On their own, the individual elements are distinctly unique – a diversely planted vineyard with unusually rich soil; a sustainable facility that unites tradition and science to serve the winemaker’s art; and a retail gallery with adjoining tasting rooms that are both chic and welcoming. Working together, they create wines and experiences that are truly memorable.

Stratus Vineyards, established in 2000, is a sustainable, innovative winery located in the heart of Niagara wine country in the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Stratus is dedicated to growing and producing limited quantities of premium wine in the VQA Niagara Lakeshore appellation.

Stratus is committed to responsible stewardship of the land. As a result, the winery is the first building in Canada to achieve LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the Canada Green Building Council. Stratus was the first winery worldwide to fully achieve this designation. Environmental sustainability is a core value of all involved in the design and operation of Stratus.

Stratus Vineyards sits on 62 acres near the southeastern border of the Niagara Lakeshore sub-appellation. It shares the benefits of the region with its neighbours, while enjoying advantages that are uniquely its own. The vineyard is far enough away from the moderating influence of Lake Ontario to grow grape varieties that need warmer temperatures in the summer. At the same time, the lakes proximity helps protect the vines from early frost in the fall.

Henry of Pelham Estate Winery

Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery was established in 1988 with the first vintage.

Henry of Pelham Winery is family owned and located in the Short Hills Bench of the Niagara Peninsula. Henry Smith, son of our original Canadian ancestor (Nicholas Smith ca.1778, fifer in the Revolutionary War) took his name from the toll-road which ran across his property. He built an inn, tavern and planted our first vineyards. As children we restored his vineyards to match artisanal grape growing to artisanal wine making.

Reif Estate Winery

Reif Estate is a a family owned winery located in Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario, Canada. The winery was founded by Ewald Reif and officially opened its doors in 1982.

The Reif family tradition of winemaking began nearly half a millennium ago in the small winemaking town of Neustadt, located in the heart of the world renowned Rhine River Valley in Germany. In 1977, this tradition transcended to a new continent, when founder Ewald Reif purchased a plot of land on the fertile banks of the Niagara River.

After carefully nurturing the land for six years, the potential of these young vineyards became evident when the doors of Reif Estate Winery officially opened in 1983.

In 1987, Klaus W. Reif took over the reins from his uncle Ewald, as the President and Winemaker after graduating from the world famous Geisenheim Institute in Germany with degrees in both Oenology and Viticulture. Having been born into a winemaking family with roots tracing back 12 generations Klaus’ future as a winemaker may have been preordained. In 1990, Klaus was joined by Roberto DiDomenico, a graduate of the University of Guelph with a specialized Honours Microbiology degree. Roberto’s winemaking philosophy of ‘letting nature make wine’ married perfectly with Klaus’s belief that “…today we are growing wine in the vineyard.”

These beliefs, partnered with a commitment to produce predominantly estate bottled wines from our 125 acre vineyard are the cornerstone of the quality and integrity of Reif Estate wines.
